I am Tim Horsfield.  I was born Timothy Horsfield in Chatham and lived with my parents in Gillingham, the Isle of Grain and High Halstow, all in Kent, England.  I went to Napier Road School, Gillingham, St James' School, Isle of Grain, and Sir Joseph Williamson's Mathematical School, Rochester, also in Kent.  I started work with Elliott Automation, Chatham, and studied for a B.Sc. at The City University in London.  I made a career change in 1969 to join P-E Consulting Group as a management consultant.  My work took me throughout the U.K. and to China, India, Pakistan, USA, Iceland and several countries in Europe.  Following redundancy, I joint and automotive supplier performing a similar job.  I was made redundant again late in 2000 and set myself up as an independent consultant in quality management systems running my own business, Setagon Quality Systems.

I married Barbara Loades in 1966 and we started married life in Rochester before moving to Meopham, Kent.  Soon after Natalie was born in 1981 we moved to Wythall, Worcestershire, where we have remained.  I have one sister, Pat, who is married to Alastair Wood, and they have four grown up sons, Andrew, Stephen, Geoffrey, and Niel.

My hobbies are bird watching, travelling, computing, theatre and concerts, watercolour painting, and genealogy.
